Tuition loan worry!

I'm due to start my first OU module in October (towards an Open Degree) and have applied for a tuition loan to pay for it. My application is 'being processed' but has not been confirmed yet. However OU has sent me my course package already. I'm really keen to get stuck into it now but am worried about what happens if i don't get my loan. There's no way I can afford to pay for the course without the loan! I've emailed OU several times to ask but am yet to receive a reply.
Does anyone know what happens? Can you cancel after the start date? Or am I likely to be stuck with a large bill to pay?

Is there anything that makes you suspect you won't get a loan? Have you already got a degree, or have you previously received over one year of finance?

If the loan is Procesed late, after payment is due, this can be discussed with the OU?

Don't worry.
I had problems with my loan and it took a while to get them sorted, but the OU will still allow you to study while your loan is being processed
