Is it too late to apply for post-graduate programs?

I'm still waiting for references before I send out applications. I call my references weekly (well, two weeks), and they promise they'll get them to me. I can only push so much but is it getting too late?

It depends where you are applying to.
I had trouble with my references last year (ex tutor on maternity leave and noone else around who had taught me) I missed the Ucas deadline and couldnt get a place that way (was applying for law conversions some through Ucas) but i had applied for some for postgrad courses which asked for 2 references. In the end I rang up the uni and told them my problem and they accepted my application form with one reference and sorted the other out.
I would ring up your postgrad choice and tell them your problem and see what theycan do because its getting to the deadlines for most postgrad courses and already too late for some.

Roughly about this time last year. Shef has quite late deadlines for postgrad courses compared to other places I think though. I had also contacted them a few times by now to let them know that I was having trouble with my references. I think I had contacted them by march to let them know about the problem.
