Parents killed 4-year-old gay son

In messages to her boyfriend, Jessica Dutro expressed frustration with her young children, using a number of profanities and calling one "stupid."

Her 7-year-old daughter upset her by falling asleep on top of the laundry the child was supposed to fold, one message said.
“after an hour i go in there and her sweaty (expletive) is sleeping on top of the clothes,” Dutro wrote. “sleeping is one thing but to plop her dirty (expletive) on the clean clothes and sleep…”
Later, she wrote to Canady that she “gave her lickins,” and all the laundry was done. “amazing right?” she wrote.
Washington County jurors read Facebook messages between Jessica Dutro and Brian Canady on Friday, just before they were released for the weekend.
Dutro, 25, is charged with murder, murder by abuse and second-degree assault in the death of her 4-year-old son, Zachary Dutro-Boggess. Canady pleaded guilty earlier this month to first-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault in the boy’s death.
Emergency crews responded Aug. 14, 2012, to the Tigard homeless shelter where Zachary was living. They took him to a Portland hospital, where doctors determined he was dying from abdominal trauma that caused tears in his bowel. He was taken off life support two days later.
The 2012 Facebook messages shown in court contained some daily correspondence between Dutro and Canady while one of them was home with the children and the other at work.

In one message, Dutro wrote that Zachary, then 3, was “facing the wall.”
He’s going to be gay, she wrote. “he walks like it and talks like it ugh.” That made her mad, she wrote. Canady needed to “work on” the boy “big time,” she wrote.
In legal arguments outside the presence of the jury, prosecutor Megan Johnson said the message established Dutro’s motive for inflicting on Zachary a pattern of torture and abuse. Authorities say Dutro assaulted three of her children, but Zachary received the brunt of the violence.

Dutro wrote in another message that Zachary’s younger brother, then 2, was “facing the wall” because he had had an accident in his pants.
Later messages indicated he’d been standing against the wall for two hours. She told Canady she would have kept the child in his soiled pants, but she had her 7-year-old daughter change him so he wouldn’t stink.

Trial continues Tuesday, when the state is expected to wrap up its case.

Ugh. People like her should not be allowed to have children.

How come social services didn't pick up on this sooner?
This is so wrong in so many different ways. Why would she discipline her son for being gay, something he couldn't possibly have helped? How could she have thought physical punishment would help? How could she possibly even tell, at that age, that he was gay?

Literally no words for these sorts of people. Asking why, how etc. is more or less pointless because there isn't a why or a how that adequately accounts for what they've done.

Well it does seem like they have also been horrible to their other child, just under different excuses.
I'd be pretty angry if I find out my child was gay. Would I kill them? no. She should've just given him to social services.
****ing disgusting mother, dirty pig doesn't deserve to be around children ever again.

I don't imagine jury deliberations will take long for this case

It sounds more like she just wanted to abuse her son by calling him gay, rather than attacking him because of it. There was clearly something wrong with her, which is, I imagine, a more convincing reason as to why she would do something like that.

theres nothing in that post I can see that would suggest that the 4year old could be seen to be actually gay. just a sad story fo two people not fit to be parents - lots of those type of people around the world unfortunately

If you are obsessed with homosexuality I suppose you might do, just like how I know everything about Trailor Swift.
If you can't accept your child over something petty as sexuality, then please sterilize yourself. Disgusting.
It's so hard to comprehend how two parents can feel such hatred towards their own children. Parenthood brings such joy and pride to most parents, who would willingly give their lives to protect their children, yet occasionally you hear of cases like these, I just want to know what has gone wrong with them. It just seems like pure evil.

That's absolutely appalling. It's mind boggling that people would have children, and then choose to treat them like that.

These people seem to have the idea that their children are their properties.
Let's ignore for a moment that it is near impossible for a 4 year old to be aware what sexual orientation is that alone which one they are and focus on the more important fact that these idiots are allowed to have children at all let alone keep them long enough for something like this to happen. Get your **** together social services!

Hook your son up with a 6 year old then, sure that's more your kind of thing.

Underage marriages are islamic.
Being gay isn't something you can control so being angry or murdering your child because of it is pretty stupid to say the least.

People like that should be sterilised.
