RAF PRTC 3rd June 2014

hey all,

have been given my dates for the RAF PRTC for 3rd june 2014 with potential start date for basic on 27th August 2014 and was wondering if anyone else has the same dates! im going as a survival equipment specialist.

How quickly after your PJFT did you receive your dates if you don't mind me asking? I passed my PJFT 3 weeks ago and have had no call regarding starts dates yet. I called last week and they said it could possibly be November but couldn't confirm it and no expected date to call me to confirm.

i rang up about 2 and a half weeks after i did my pjft and they had dates for me, it depends on what your trade is and what positions they have available for the dates, because the fitness test people sent my results to the wrong place my dates were pushed back becauyse all places had been filled

It's just annoying not hearing anything and needing to chase and feeling like your mithering them. I hope I don't have to wait till November!

ive felt like im annoying them a few times but in the end i think it shows that you generally want it and its a positive thing i received my dates last month so have had to wait 2 months for prtc and 4 nearly 5 months for basic

I just got the 3rd today for prtc and then 13th of august for basic trainning

What trade you going for mate? When did you pass your PJFT? Passed mine over 3 weeks ago and still no dates!

Supplier hopefully I got the dates about 5 days after passing

Hey I'm coming from hereford near the welsh border! Haven't found out how I'm getting their yet but will be ringing the afco in may to see if they will send me a train ticket! How about yourself?

I'm going for aircraft tech mechanic too. Just awaiting dates. When did you do your PJFT and find out your dates?

Travelling from Warrington. Received my rail warrant a few weeks ago

Just to update, I have got my dates now, my provisional basic start date is 29th October. Little further away than I had hoped but oh well, more time to train and build on my fitness.
