I'm applying for my first adult passport, because my previous childs passport has just expired. Is this classed as a renewal, or a first passport? I don't know whether or not I need a countersignatory?
Classed as a renewal but you will only have to get it signed if you have changed significantly from the picture on your old one. I did mine a few months ago and got it signed just to avoid any hassle.
