What happens if an international student fails a module?

Does their visa become void and they have to go back home? I'm not an international student but I'm curious what happens to the students that fails, if they get a second chance or if they get kicked out and return back home.
If you fail a module, you get a chance to retake that module. Most likely, the reassessment will be caped to 40%. Same rules apply for home, eu, international.

You can resit in the summer or retake the year, or both. But then you have one chance to pass remaining or you'll be kicked out and visa cancelled.

You can retake the module however I know for some of my friends they had to get a certain mark so avoid their visas being revoked.
