French Postgraduate looking for a flat

Hello everyone,

I am a french student who was selected for a PhD thesis at the chemistry department of Durham University.
I am starting in October 2014 and will move to Durham with my boyfriend. Thus, we are looking for a private flat/house with 1 bedroom (or a studio), not too far away from the science department (because I won't have a car), and at a fair price.
Is there someone leaving a flat like this? Or do you have advice in terms of costs/ best place to live/ public transport etc?

If you are looking for a flat then check out our studio apartments at http://www.universalstudentliving.com/properties/durham/ We are close to the bus station meaning you can get a free bus to the science site whenever you want!
