Urm well I think you're wrong with theres no cie certificate versions/aternatives because there is well here if you read the bottom(before it goes onto gcse 2015 changes) said that UK indipendent schools(which I said in my previous post above could do the non certificate igcses) can ethier do Cambridge IGCSE or the Level 1/2 certificate versions (then again this proves i'm wrong when I said before that the certificate is ONLY can be used in state schools, but hey ho :P):
http://www.cie.org.uk/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-secondary-2/cambridge-igcse/uk-schools/ ALSO if you read that its says: "
*The syllabuses marked with an asterisk above have a different syllabus code from the Cambridge IGCSE because the content or model of assessment is not exactly the same. All the others are identical. Please see the syllabus document for details."
And if you click on the English Language it states that its avaiable to schools in the zone 3 area which is the uk only
http://www.cie.org.uk/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-igcse-english-first-language-uk-0522/ The other cie IGCSE English:
http://www.cie.org.uk/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-igcse-english-first-language-0500/ isn't funded in uk schools and DOESN'T count in league tables.
Idk what cie exam you did and maybe people in state schools were/are to do the 0500 instead of the 0522, maybe all state schoolers can/did do the Cambridge IGCSE instead of the level 1/2 certificate& uk school alternative in all their subjects, maybe I am wrong when I thought that the IGCSE's were only for private/homeschoolers/international students BUT as I was saying, there is clearly CIE cerfiticate versions and alternatives for UK schools, when you're saying there isn't and I don;t know what i'm talking and according to you I can't read. You might have even taken the cie Certificate/Zone 3(UK) Alternative without even knowing and you just thinking its the iGCSE.
. Interesting.
As for Edexcel R, numorous people have told me it means different timezone? The R is for people outside uk or england, and they've the made the R paper so people wouldn't cheat, etc maybe its for the certificate douting it because ive actually looked at Edexcel International GCSE:
http://www.edexcel.com/quals/igcse/int-gcse11/Pages/default.aspx and & The Edexcel Certificate:
http://www.edexcel.com/quals/igcse/edexcel-certificate/Pages/default.aspx and you can clearly see they BOTH The Certifcate and International GCSE have R and non R papers for most subjects/exam session, and again if you look The Edexcel Certificate R and non R papers are excalty the same as the International GCSE R and Non R paper(which i'm ngl I thought the certificate papers where different to the IGCSE paper, so yeah that's another mistake of mine:/). I think even if its the same exam papers it can ethier go down on record as The Edexcel Certificate and count towards school league tables and towards the eBacc(which you can only do at school..) or you can have it as a just International GCSE. Does say here the certifcate is based on 2009 spec:
http://www.edexcel.com/quals/igcse/edexcel-certificate/Pages/default.aspx They've made two different pages so even though the papers are the same I think there's a difference, but again CLEARLY both the cert and the iGCSE have got both R and non R papers, so idk where you're going with that the R papers are certificate ones and the non R are the iGCSE which you did...
Tbh idk about OCR iGCSE's but AQA's IGCSE English Lan&Lit are DEFO only available to private/state schools as it includes assessment.(which you cant do at home).
Anyways... it doesn't really matter,gcses/igcses/o level, level 2 and 1's they're all the same level and equivalent to each-other(even if people think vocational qualifications, such as btec, nvq, etc arent and too easy and joke, etc) and can get you to different and higher places... this has gone off-topic, no-one answered my question properly.... so hopefully ill make it to be a biologist or ill sty here and rot and cry for all my life and be stuck in another crap job for me
(sorry for all spelling mistakes/too long to read/confusing,etc... probably need to sort that out if I want to be a biologist!)
