Alice Gross: Disappearance?

Most of us have heard of the story of Alice Gross by now, and that she has disappeared for almost a month now. http://www.thinglink.com/scene/566537053395746817

It seems that the homicide team has taken over, in what has been called 'extra expertise'. I'm starting to think that the police know more than we do.
:s-smilie:

But Disappearance of Alice Creed with Gemma Arterton was a great film :h:
Of course the police know more than we do. They never release all the details to the media - it would prejudice the investigation, and leave them wide open to false confessions.

All these disappearances of young girls in or around their neighbourhood always tend to have a family member involved. Just like April Jones, and possibly Maddy McCann.

Or alternatively, you could use the examples of Milly Dowler, Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman (all of whom were much closer in age / circumstances to Alice Gross) who were murdered by non-family members.

It really doesn't appear that way. I live in the same town as Alice, know people who are close to her family etc. There's really no suspicion there at all.

April Jones wasn't murdered by a family member.
Obviously the police know more than they've released to the media. Even with the information the media have its not surprising they've brought in a homicide team.
Why is this in relationships?
Latvian builder suspect is a convicted murderer.Arnis Zalkalns, 41, was jailed for seven years for murder in his home country when he was in his late twenties.Only five years ago he was arrested by Metropolitan Police officers on suspicion of indecently assaulting a teenage girl in west London, but the case was not pursued.
