I'm guessing this is being misrepresented. For £1/hr she will probably go around with someone and pretend to be their girlfriend, not sleep with them. PRC has a big sex imbalance due to their socialist family planning policies, so this is something that would be more palatable there than here, especially with social pressures for children to develop families to support their parents.
