What happens if I leave uni?

Hi!

So I am not sure that I've picked the right course for me, but it can just be newbie-nerves so I'll give it a couple of weeks before I decide if I leave uni or not. My question is not regarding the tuition, because I know what it will cost me if I drop out, but couldn't find another forum where it was more appropriate to ask about this. Instead, my question is what will happen with my transcript if I drop out? If I would like to apply to another university, would my transcripts show that I had dropped out or would it look bad in anyway on future applications? I don't have my assignments until January so would it say that I failed my modules if I drop out before then?
