Dissertation topic help

Hello, I'm tryin to select a suitable topic for my dissertation, psychology. Was looking at mediation and military intelligence in conflict resolution, unfortunately I can't seem to come up wit a problem statement given that my study can't be exploratory but inferential. Would appreciate any help I can get
