Transferring University after first year - Psychology

I am currently in first year at Winchester University, I do like the course - well it's alright, but I am in a really crappy position with where I am living and am extremely lonely at the moment. I want to transfer to another university closer to home (there are other personal reasons as well as just living arrangements and not great course) but I have no idea how to go about this? I also don't know if i should pick a uni i can commute to or one live in but that isn't that far away from home. Can anyone offer any advice at all? Uni's i am thinking of transferring to are either Hertfordshire or Oxford Brookes
