Independent students?!

I'll be brief.
Currently, I'm recieving SAAS/Loans based on parental income.
I'm 25, planning to go stay with my friend. I'll be declaring myself as an independent student.
SAAS say if household income is under £16,999 (or thereabouts) that you'd then qualify for the independent students bursary.
So what I'm wondering is...what is my household income? Would my friends money have anything to do with it?

being independent isn't only or mainly about where you live but about whether you have supported yourself financially for years. Doesn't sound like you've done that. As for the friend, depends on if you are living as husband and wife or if there is any reasn for thinking you are doing this just to get public money.
