Though Newnham does not have bedders like some other colleges, people do still come into rooms at various points: if you have a problem, maintenance; they come to read the electricity meter every so often; and there is usually PAT testing (electrics) and fire alarm checks at least yearly.

Most students have a termly licence so clear their room at all vacations.

Honestly don't know how you'd get away with having a small pet of any kind - if you're cleaning it out etc then that's likely to be spotted.
