Hey Guys,
I am doing NCS this summer on 20th July 2015 to 6th August 2015, is anyone else going on this one?
My information pack says Croydon A6 and says first week is in Somerset, second in Kingston and third is based in and around Croydon. Is anyone else going on this, please message me so I can get to know some of you before as I am really nervous. I am the year above most so I am year 12 because stupidly broke my foot last year so couldn't go but wanted to do it so here I am!
I think my first option was Photography, Second was Media and Third was Enterprise but not 100% sure as I completed the form a while ago.
From Sophie

Hey when did your Info pack arrive since mine hasn't arrived yet I'm also doing it 20-6 but I'm not sure where

I don't remember them all but I know I chose photography, film and something along those lines.

Btw, are you from the East,West or South? You could probably find out where your accommodation is dependant on your area.

That's a shame, would be nice to at least know one person who's going, but thanks anyway
Advice as a survivor of NCS; everyone who goes there is antisocial as f***, so it's your chance to stop being the doormat you are at school and actually dominate a group of people and love it.

On your first day; dress nice, look good. Be confident and talkative. Make a good impression on your team as soon as you meet them. Be fun and social. Google how to socialise if you have to.

Be the leader by proposing ideas. On the first day when you arrive to your camp, people will be bored and nervous, so warm the ice by starting a ball game or something like that. We played a game where an instructor says "touch something ___" and last person to touch it loses. It was organised by 2 girls that then became famous among the whole wave, and one of which became the wave's ambassador. Seriously, people will look up to you if you elevate their nervousness on the first day.

Note: There is a special breed of people in NCS who do it for their CV. They are chavs and will screw with you just like they do in normal life. Just ignore them and let them be kicked out of the wave for taking heroin or something.

If you follow my instruction you might experience something you never experienced before, and that is leadership, beeing the cool guy in the group. You might get girls. You might make friends with awesome people. It's an exciting position and one you, a person with 0 experience of not being bullied, will probably make mistakes in. But don't be afraid. NCS is a perfect training ground to teach you how to become normal and/or popular with a pool of antisocial people who tolerate your pitfalls. Use it wisely. If you don't come back after summer drowning in pussy, with a 10000 pictures of you on facebook doing something cool with mates from your wave you will disappoint me.
