Oxford PG Entry

Hi,

I am currently dealing with my undergraduate university choices: I am not holding any offer from Oxford, but I'd like to study here as a postgraduate student.

When it comes to admissions does the university look at the academic reputation of the undergraduate university you come from? e.g. King's more reputable than Bath?

Wow somebody is ahead of the game! I've looked into this before and I'd say you won't find much difference in applying with a king's undergrad vs a bath undergrad, might find it hard applying with something like a Leeds Met undergrad but the most important thing to them is your acadmic success at university, bearing in mind that universities set their own standards so getting a 'first' from one university might be considerably harder than from another.

My point is that if you put equal effort in, provided you're actually good enough, your chances should be the same irrespective of the university you go to WITHIN REASON
