Non-Big4 exit opportunities?

Basically, I took up a training contract from a non-big4 firm. In fact, it's a small, local firm. Mostly for location reasons.

I've read some articles online that this could severely limit my exit ops...?

After qualifying, I thought there would be lots of interesting opportunities in 'industry', will this still be the case even if I go to a small firm to qualify?

Hi,

It kind of does, cos if you trained at a top 4 firm, you can basically call the shots on the work and job you wanna do and a lot of the top firms in industry prefer top 4 firms. There will also be a difference in the salary you are paid. I did work experience last yr in a firm and the Head of Finance left a top 4 firm to join a smaller firm during his training contract and he said he gets paid 20-30% less than if he qualified from a top 4 firm
