Brilliant grades - I'd go for it if I were you. As long as you spend the year well and are confident you could do a solid interview then why the heck not! :h:

I've been working/volunteering as a private tutor. It's good fun and I feel like it helped a bit with my interviews (certainly more than anything else as I didn't have a school to help me). I've also been working as a gardener and reading lots of books.
