When's everyone booking flights for? Or even going to Bristol?

Wow, you're booking flights? You must live quite far away. I'm driving down and using my parent's cars to haul all of my stuff there. I think the move in date for my accommodation is the 18th so that's when I'll be going

I've booked for the 21st...not sure if I should go earlier as I can move in on the 19th. From the Isle of Man btw

Got my first choice at Wills Hall. Where can I buy my gown for formals and are there any specifics about what the gown has to look like

it'd be a strange coincidence if we were in the same flat! it will be the place to be this year either way

It'd be great, you seem like a cool person! Hahaha I hope so
Hi, I was just wondering whether or not the city centre residences are really as anti-social as people make them out to be? It seems that the city residences are great considering you are near to pretty much everything and the uni, yet they seem to be looked down upon. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue - thanks!

It depends. They're all laid out in flats instead of floors, and sometimes quite small flats, so it's not as easy to socialise with people from other flats unless you know someone who lives there.
Hey guys, I already asked this further down but has anyone who applied after july 31st got their accomodation yet? 😁
i thought city centre was one of the more sociable places to live

Anyone at Winkworth House? I've been given a place there, even though it wasn't one of my 3 choices...which is quite disappointing :frown: I'm a bit worried about Winkworth, haven't heard great things about it, plus the house is for mature students but I'm only 18.

Same here! Got placed at 115 Queen's Road which is said to be primarily for mature students this year. Not too disheartened though, I just can't seem to find anyone going to the same residence.

Have heard a mixture of things about the city centre residences - a few saying they're boring as hell (people tend to get shoved in the Unite places if they miss their first choices, particularly those who had Bris as insurance), but most I've known who live there say the complete opposite. Plus with the Courtrooms and Orchard Heights opening I imagine those will be a bit better.

As for the city centre itself, it is lively as hell (particularly Corn St), but most of the clubs students go to are further up park street.

You won't get your offer just yet. The website states that if you applied after the 31st of July, you won't receive details of accommodation until September 4th. Seems a bit late to be honest...
