Politics at Russell group possible?!

Hello
I am a year 12 student looking to do politics at uni. At gcse I got 2 As, 2 Bs, 4 Cs and a D.
I'm also retaking but as I didn't do well enough in my first year of AS because of the death of a relative really affecting my family. My question to you guys is, would I be able to get into a Russell group unis such as Nottingham, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and warwick(this would be my first if it was possible) assuming that I get straight As, at worst a few Bs this year at AS? I am currently taking geography, economics and psychology and I already have a B in AS politics but I cannot carry it onto A2 as the teacher retired and my school only had one politics teacher.
Also, do you think that my subject choices are okay for studying politics at uni?
