I'm not sure where the threats of violence were coming from but we shouldn't be living our lives in fear just because someone doesn't like something. Plus, as a university and therefore full of intelligent adults, I think it should be down to those people whether they want to hear Maryam's story. Telling people they can't attend her talk because someone might get butthurt by reality is very nanny state.
What do they think adult students will do, run off to join the BNP because someone told them something that wasn't fluffy?
