I just finished my GCSE's, and I found that one of the things that I did that was most useful, was making sure you know loads of techniques, but don't just say, this is alliteration, you need to say what affect it has on the reader too. Look at poems by the poet you are studying and select one that you haven't studied yet, and write about it. You can always post your response on here, I would be willing to read it and I am sure other people would be too. Also, don't stress about it. I did, and it doesn't help. I have to study 79 poems by May, but the most important thing is understanding what is going on. Don't forget to practice with a time limit. Generally poetry is given 45 mins. And don't put it off either. If you are stuck, ask on here, google it, or parents. It's surprising what adults know :wink:
