Stdent Life

Hi Everyone, this is my first time using this so please be gentle with me:wink: I've applied to the University of Stirling to study Biology and am curious as to what you feel about it? I live in Devon so attending an open day is very unlikely but I really like the look of it. Any information about the University night life, Stirling as a city in general, the campus, accommodation and specifically biology would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

It's probably a poor substitute for being able to come to an open day, but these videos might be helpful for you:

The city is small, so depending on what you're used to, the nightlife etc. might seem a pretty limited. On the flip side, most of the nightlife is very student oriented, since students make up such a large part of the population.

Half of the campus accommodation is 'brand new' (Juniper court just opened in September, Beech court opened the previous year, Willow court opened 2 years ago), the other half are very dated by comparison, so there's obviously a big variation between the rent prices.

Biology has one of the best teaching programmes in the university.

I hope that helps.
