Engineering with an Integrated Foundation Year

Has anyone ever been accepted onto an Engineering course with an Integrated Foundation Year through the UCAS Adjustment process by any chance? Is it possible?

Very few applicants find a place through adjustment (it's only open to a very small number of students for a very short time) but there's no reason why it wouldn't be possible.

For foundation years it's important to ask questions - there are some very variable courses out there.

Ask things like:
Will I be studying at the university or a local college?
Are the fees for the foundation year the same or lower than the later years?
Will I be living in halls?
Can I stay in halls once I move into year 1 alongside other first years?
What proportion of foundation year students are international?
Is the foundation year designed to cater for students with low grades in relevant subjects or for students who don't have the right subjects?
How many students fail or drop out from the foundation year?
How many students carry on to study xxxxxx type of engineering?
Do those students tend to get good degrees and jobs? Is the drop out rate for those students higher than entrants with A levels?
