Of Mice and Men: Dialect
In "Of Mice and Men" the characters use different and non-standard dialect. Steinbeck writes in Standard English in his descriptions, but why does he use non-standard dialects when the characters are speaking? What effect does it have?

Its how the people would've spoken at the time which creates an authentic effect of how society was modelled at the time.
