I got an unconditional offer from Durham but am so worried about the campus being boring and disconnected from a city and my social life suffering because of it. Would almost definitely accept an offer from Durham if it was to actually live in the centre but even the prestige and reputation of s Durham degree wouldn't be worth having a **** 3 years I'm thinking. So frustrating!
The town itself is a bit run-down. Social life is a bit limited what with there being fewer students, and a less diverse mixture of them, especially if you don't drink. The campuses are an hour away by bus so most students don't travel between the campuses regularly. To a large extent you do make your own friends and experiences but It's something I wish I had taken account
