Why is it impossible to be certain which factor is limiting the rate of photosynthesis?
FYI this is biology not physics. It's relatively easy to see if temperature is limiting factor by using a thermometer as well as using a light meter to see if there is enough light. It is harder but not impossible to see if CO2 is limiting factor. Normally, it is relatively easy to see which one is a limiting factor because if 2 are in abundance ie light and CO2, it must be temperature, but if only one is abundant then it could be either of the two.
