Urgent help edexcel AS english language plzzz.....

I cant understand context could someone clarify

Idk if this will apply to you but im doing A2 English language with AQA at the moment. Context usually refers to the information surrounding the text. For example if I was looking at an old advertisement for the lottery I would state the date and what time frame of the English language it was from eg it's from the 17th century so it's from Early Modern English... I would also state other things like because it was written in this era it's aimed towards the rich because the education act was not yet introduced meaning only the rich could afford to get educated... I have no idea if this relates to your course. If it doesn't go to the edexel website and look at the spec for your subject it should tell you there :smile:
