Explain these University grades?

What does the '-' mean in 1- or 2:1=?

If you don't get a reply, it's worth asking your uni directly :h:

It may well be how close you are to a grade boundary, eg. 2:1- means close to the bottom of the boundary. But it's worth asking your uni.
I don't know for sure but i guess it means your boarder line like you got 69% instad of 70 for a first you might be offered a resit to bump that grade up
