Applying for a job

I've recently been looking for a part-time job (just for the sake of it, I'm not going to be working in this pandemic haha) I was just wondering how fluent you had to be in a language to claim you speak it when applying for a job. I speak English (obviously) and I can understand Urdu but find it difficult in forming my sentences. I can have a conversation with someone in both French and German but only because I learn both of these languages in school; though I wouldn't say I'm fluent in them.
Do you think I could say that I speak a certain language if I'm doing it as a GCSE and possibly for A-levels?
Personally, I wouldn’t say I could speak a language I did at GCSE, but I suppose it depends how confident you feel. If someone spoke that language and decided to test you on it, would you be able to understand and reply fluently?
