re-apply on ucas or transfer university

Hi everyone:
I have just applied for a Civil Engineering course at uni of Bristol and my plan was to go to the finance industry since a lot of firms look for engineering graduates, but since the decision is made a year ago i guess its not unusual to change my mind (or am i the only one) ?? My interest now is doing economics at another university.

My problem is its too late to change anything, but i dont know if i should apply on UCAS 2009 again or treat it as university transfer after this year, if yes, what should i consider??

Many thanks
Tom
You would probably be better off taking a gap year and reapplying. You can get some experience, save up some money for university, ect, as oppose to completing the first year of a degree you don't actually want to do which will be pointless and expensive.
