Why do girls have mood swings?

My girlfriend can go from happy to sad very quickly, and her mood changes. She can get irritable also. Why? What can I do to help?

It’s hormones. Having an extremely painful time with period pain every month puts quite a lot of people in a really bad mood. It’s great you want to help out! If it were me, just knowing someone understands what it’s like makes me feel better :h:

It's because they have gremlins inside their lady pouches. Sometimes you will need to reach in and have a good rummage to quiet them.

OP, its probably not bipolar. Most bipolar moods last for months.
