not everyone is a christian or religious. masturbation might be wrong to you personally, doesnt mean others arent allowed to enjoy it, and it doesnt make it immoral.

its allowed in Christianity, they must be ultra religious christian or mormon or like that.

What is immoral about masturbation? It is perfectly moral. Also there's no way it harms religious health or spiritual health, in fact it prevents one night stands or even rape in some cases. Not all of us have boyfriends or girlfriends.

Repeating what you said isn’t going to change my mind. Even ppl who are in relationships still masturbate loool. It does harm you spiritually but if you don’t understand or aren’t “religious” like I said you can’t comment on that

No it’s not. Who told you that? Where in the Bible does it say that? If you aren’t a Christian you can’t comment on Christianity because you’ll mislead ppl.

I've done it more and less in my time. Depends what you mean by 'normal' as I don't exactly have statistics haha, but you're definitely not the only one. It's healthy. As long as it's not getting in the way of anything then there's nothing wrong with it.

It helps me a lot, makes me more confident, happier and just more energised. Whenever I stop masturbating, I get depressed and miserable.

I am a religious person. It would be great if you addressed the points I made.

What’s your religion and what points?

 There is not a single religion that bans masturbation, only the ultra religious or celibate ones don't approve

There are things that can harm one’s mental health, that are often thought of in the same sphere of life as masturbation - it is very possible to develop a porn addiction. But it’s also very possible to masturbate regularly in a healthy way, without using porn at all.

Masturbation goes against some religious teachings. In that sense it could be seen to harm one’s spiritual health. But what is spiritual health, exactly? I think it’s more spiritually healthy to have a set of well-reasoned moral rules that you have actively chosen for yourself, than to try to blindly, arbitrarily follow what’s written in an ancient book. If a person resolves for themselves ’’Masturbation harms me in this clear and specific way, so I’m going to choose not to do it’’ - then I say more power to them: they have made a clear, respectable personal choice. In that sense, I think the process of masturbating and feeling religiously guilty about it and beginning to question the religious beliefs that one may have inherited is very constructive! It drives the person forward towards a self-made system of morality that either accepts masturbation, or decides against it for better reasons.
(Even then, I’m not sure I’d understand if they classed it as ’’immoral’’. If a person continues doing something that they think harms them, like smoking, for example, we call it reckless, ignorant, perhaps cognitively dissonant - but immoral? I don’t see it.)

Anyway, if you’d like to elaborate on how you think masturbation harms one’s mental and spiritual health, I’d love to hear it.

^^^ These ideas.

I never said that. I’m talking from my perspective don’t get it twisted. Ok but it’s my opinion and not my life like I said

it sounds more like youre forcing your personal views onto everyone else by telling them its bad and devalues sex. it might do for you, but it doesnt for most people.

I’m not forcing anyone. Don’t try to make me look bad. I’m just sharing my opinion and what I believe.

Ok so we’re obviously going to disagree
There’s no point of trying to have an innocent debate because you’ll all disagree with me.

Not everyone has a boyfriend or girlfriend. For some of us, masturbation is a great way of self pleasure and fun. I am depressed and miserable without it.

When you say an ’’innocent debate’’, what do you mean? I think it’s the nature of nearly all debates that people disagree with each other. It’s learning about what other people think and dissecting both their logic and one’s own that people find mentally and spiritually stimulating

Like I said earlier... I don’t like repeating myself btw. Ppl who are in relationships still masturbate!!! You feel filled when you masturbate because it’s pleasurable but it’s only temporary. Do you actually know the meaning of the word depression? If you don’t please don’t use it because those who are actually depressed or have been depressed won’t appreciate it. Speaking from experience. There’s a fine line between sadness and depression.

thats fine if thats what you believe, but its also fine if other people have different beliefs. op asked if it was normal to masturbate twice in a day, you replied no as well as giving your views. there was no need for saying its not normal, when to most people who arent religious, it is actually normal.

No. It’s sexual immorality and devalues sex.

Ok. I know what debate is. Thanks.

I know lol. I didn’t say it was fine. You can’t invalidate my opinion because if what most ppl think because I’m not most ppl and ain’t follow the crowd or neglect my faith and beliefs because of ppl on tsr of most aren’t even “religious”.
