Can I change my accomodation for MMU

Hi,
I have booked Birley Warde townhouse accommodation for Manchester Metropolitan University but I now regret my choice and wish I chose Cambridge halls or Briarfields. Reason being that I want more socialising and I don’t think Birley townhouses are as sociable as Cambridge or briarfields halls. Also, I am planning To study business, which is closer to Cambridge halls than it is to Birley.

Would it be possible to find someone in Cambridge, Briarfields or cavendish that would prefer to stay in Birley instead?

To be honest, I’d happily pay the difference in additional rent for someone to swap with me and live in my current selected Birley accomodation instead.

Please help. I really do feel sad about making this decision ☹️😢

Thankyou

You'll realise when you end up there, that this won't make a huge amount of difference. You can create whatever social life you wish, regardless of where you are living. Meet with people in societies and find someone on your course to go to a party with and create friendships from there.

I stayed at birley and it was still very sociable with 12 people in a house you're bound to make friends, however I was in the business school and it is abit of a trek if your hanging. My advice would be to maybe try birley out and then swap after a few weeks if you arent keen- don't worry about feeling pressure to make your best friends in freshers week, I didnt meet my best friends at uni until my second year where i moved into a house share with what were strangers lol. Good luck, im sure youll be fine either way
