Is 800£ a month enough to live off.
Hi, just got my first job after uni, and after all of my rent, bills, council tax, and direct debits I am left with £800. Now I know this is a good amount of money, but I guess I am asking how would you budget this, etc. For context, I like to go out and drink or eat out at least once a week, but don't have a hugely high food shop bill. I do like to shop, clothes, beauty, nails etc. Just wondering how I should budget for fun stuff, food, other etc
It depends on you location, health and standard of living.
Assuming that you are single with no dependents, generally healthy and able to cook most of your meals- you should be okay.
Try to save at least £150 a month.
Work out a monthly budget that you will stick to for your groceries, takeaways, boozy drinks, clothes, nightlife and other favourite hobbies.
Be very wary of buying expensive technology items, special event tickets and restaurant meals.
