If your parents never went to Uni it it a slight advantage, so you may get a slightly lower advantage, so that might help you get in.
Yes, you can absolutely say that your parents didn't go to university, as it is entirely about the environment in which you are raised rather than your genetics. You did not grow up in a household with parental adults who went to university, therefore you are a first generation applicant regardless of what your birth father has done

You're classed as first in the family to attend uni in that case.

It’s not common for universities to use this for eligibility for contextual offers.
