With me- i plan on keeping mine for the foreseeable future. Im spending money on other stuff, so cant warrant getting a new car as well. Its pretty reliable at the moment and is cheap to tax and run so will do for the time being.

about 2 years - its not that good and can't go up hills that well

It's my husband's motability car (except he doesn't drive so I drive it), and that's when it's due back.

another 2.5 to 3.5 years
as at that point it;s been approx 12 or 13 years old and likely to have got about 150 -170 K miles on it and be the kind of age when you might need to start spending serious cash to keep it going

another couple of months and then transition to a motorcycle in uni - cars are fantastic but for travelling within a city i dont really see the point, motorbike gets me cheaper running costs, less impactful traffic and wayyyyyy easier parking
