Pelvic ultrasound

I've had period problems for as long as I remember now the doctor suggested I do a pelvic ultrasound. I'm not sure I feel comfortable with that. Would I be able to keep my trousers on or even pants or would I go but naked

It's a pelvic ultrasound, not a smear test so all you will need to do is lift up your top halfway so that they have access to your lower torso. If you are particularly concerned, ask for a chaperone. Next time, ask your doctor what the investigation or treatment they suggest will entail, you'll feel more at ease with a medical professional explaining things f2f!

It depends on what kind of pelvic ultrasound it is, but it will most likely just be a case of lifting up your top. You should get some information about the scan when you get your appointment.

I don't mean to cause you concern, but many of these studies are done by inserting the probe into the vagina. I think you should speak to your doctor.
