Accommodation for insurance offer holders?

Hi everyone,

I will be putting Bristol as my insurance offer, but am concerned about the no guaranteed accommodation plus accommodation shortages in Bristol.
I've seen various threads from previous years of students getting Bristol as their insurance offer, then being unable to get accommodation and ending up in Newport or somewhere else far out of the city. The alternative would be paying very high amounts for private accommodation (which there seems to be very little of anyway).

While part of me feels that I may as well cross that bridge when I come to it, another part of me wants to see if I can have Bristol as a deferred insurance while keeping my main for 2023 entry (idk if I could pull that off).

Any suggestions about whether past insurance students were able to obtain accommodation in the end/ advice for my situation.
