Should I stay hopeful he’ll get in contact?

first of all I am very shy and no guy has liked me before ok! i had a guy who I’m kinda confident liked me in my class n we always made eye contact for long times and his friends were always encouraging him to ask my contact info. I was always so excited to go to class to see him but he suddenly left I hear he left to do an apprenticeship and I’m sad I won’t see him again or even run into him if he works the whole week :frown:

I wonder if he since he doesn’t have to come back to class or be scared of seeing me yk if I didn’t reciprocate he could reach out to me? i rly want him to and I keep checking but idek..😭 I sound kinda stupid but I really had hope. I’m worried me being shy made me seem unapproachable
