When studying law how do I avoid getting stuck researching on simple point??

I don't know if it's just me but all of them textbooks for year 2 law modules love to collectively be vague or entirely leave out information on some points of law for eg whether the "mutual burden and benefit principle" is based on law or equity, or like whether passing of benefit still needs to be established when burden has ran with land that way. Then I need to spend days googling and reading articles and full law reports just to get that tiny one pimple of information when the textbooks could have just been clear. How do I avoid getting stuck like that? How do you avoid getting stuck like that?

i would say read it from the textbook then go online and research it. If anything u can always ask on here and someone would know the answer and reply back to u. All in all i get what u mean and it frustrates me so much
