Help with painting skirting boards and ceilings

What kind of paint is best to use on skirting boards and ceiling?
For skirting boards you’d use interior wood and metal paint (depends on the finish you want) shiny would be gloss in between would be satin and egg shell would be Matt like. And then again the ceilings depends on finish Matt would be dull like, silk is shiny and mid sheen is in between with ceilings normal wall paint is fine nothing fancy I know dulux is expensive so as long as you get the right one it’s fine.

Water-Based Paint (Latex): Water-based or latex paints are commonly used for skirting boards. They dry quickly, have low levels of odor, and are easy to clean up with water. Choose a satin or semi-gloss finish for durability and easy cleaning. These finishes also provide a subtle sheen that complements the trim.
Oil-Based Paint: Oil-based paints are another option for skirting boards. They provide a durable finish with a high gloss that is easy to clean. However, they have a longer drying time and a stronger odor. Proper ventilation is crucial when using oil-based paints, and you may need mineral spirits for cleanup.
No matter which option you choose, you need to remember to use it correctly.
