What to look at when buying first car
I'm looking at buying a new car but am by no means a mechanic. What should I look out for when checking out the cars?

If you arent an expert on cars then it may be wise to take someone with you who knows a bit about cars.
Check its MOT history (this can be done online) this may reveal any problems that its failed mots on that may or may not have been fixed. Check to see if it has service history. Check the general body work for signs of damage (e.g. scratches, dents etc).
Make sure the garage services and mot's the car before you take delivery of it.
