can someone please help me with this i got the answer from the mark scheme but still don’t understand how to do it.

the bear

you can choose starting values for x and y.

since y is changed by a % it makes sense to use 100 for y.

so √y = 10

we can let x = any value, but let's go with 20 ( for no particular reason )

so x = k√y

20 = k* 10

so k = 2

now we increase y from 100 to 121

x = 2*√121

etc
