How long do I have to accept an accommodation offer?

I’ve just been offered a place in halls at the University of Reading. Not my first choice (due to price) but I’m happy with it nonetheless. However I need to pay a £250 deposit, but I don’t get paid until next Friday. The email I got just said that I have a small window to accept it, but I can’t find anywhere how long that is. Does anyone know how long the offer is valid for? As I don’t want to lose it. I don’t have anyone I can borrow that amount of money from.

Hello @larry28288, as @BubblesBB said, according to this link https://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-study/accommodation/apply/fees-and-instalments#:~:text=Deposit,for%20damages%20or%20unpaid%20rent. , you have 5 days to accept and pay the deposit. I would definitely recommend contacting the accommodation team and explaining your situation.
Here is a link to the accommodation team`s contacts - https://www.reading.ac.uk/essentials/accommodation/university-accommodation#:~:text=Need%20help%3F,%40reading.ac.uk.

Hopefully, this has helped, but let us know if you have any other questions!
