Anyone previously done summer placement?

I was wondering if anyone here managed to get on a summer placement at the end of the first year?

It's highly possible and I did. You have to be proactive.

With independent pharmacies do you mean like the one on my high street lol? And do they pay?
I'm so upset I didn't get the placement!

yeah the ones up high street. Pay is very good for them, 5/6 per hour. You will get a placement, have you tried hospital?

From what I've heard placements are more likely to be given to 2nd/3rd years because they have been taught more about working in pharmacy and need the experience more.
