What do I do?

Right now the only uni I want to get into is UCL, but when I checked the school official website they wanted at least 2 years of undergraduate before applying and what?! I want an MBA from UCL but this is beginning to seem impossible, I am graduating from year 12 with A*AAB. I don’t know if this grade will hold in anyway. I heard that acceptence rate isn’t too high for this uni as it is one of the top 5 universities in UK. I also don’t have a lot of extra curricular activities. Does anyone have any advice for me?
Hi,

MBA stands for Master of Business Administration, so it is a postgraduate level degree. This means you will already need to have done an undergraduate degree, hence why they request this in the entry requirements.

I have just looked at the UCL webpage for their MBA and they also want applicants to have 'a minimum of five years’ full-time work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree and before starting the MBA programme'.

You could have a look at doing something else for your undergraduate degree, and then come back to the MBA once you have the correct qualifications. This website has some information on what subjects are involved in the MBA, such as accounting, business policy, entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management, international trade, IT, leadership, market research, and marketing: https://universitycompare.com/advice/student/mba. You could look at doing one of these after you finish your A levels.

Hope this helps!

Hi I think you might be getting mixed up with undergraduate and graduate courses.

UCL does offer two undergraduate entry courses within its Management School for those coming straight from A Levels. These are: 'Management Science BSc/MSci' https://www.mgmt.ucl.ac.uk/management-science and 'Information Management for Business BSc' https://www.mgmt.ucl.ac.uk/imb

The MBA programme is graduate entry, i.e. for those who already hold an undergraduate degree (or an equivalent level of substantial industry experience) and are currently working in the industry. This can be seen under the 'Entry Requirements' and 'Programme' description sections on this page https://www.mgmt.ucl.ac.uk/ucl-mba

Hi there!

I think you may have gotten confused with the different degree levels, as MBA is typically for postgraduates, and you typically need an undergraduate degree to access such courses. The entry grades for undergraduate degrees are A-level based, and you should be able to get into UCL with those grades!

Good luck!
