Postgraduate funding

Hiya - please could someone advise re my funding eligibility for postgrad courses?
I reside in England, but I did my undergraduate in St Andrews - this was a 5-year degree and I have an MA in languages.
I'm now interested in applying for a conversion course in psychology (i.e. MSc Psychological Sciences from UCL) and I understand I can get funding for that. However like most psychology students with a BSc, I would then want to specialise. If I were to then go on to do the MSc Health Psychology at UCL, am I right in thinking I would have to self-fund? Both tuition and maintenance?
Thanks so much in advance,
V

Hi there,

Are you permanently living in England? Is the course going to be full or part time? Can you also confirm the full name of the course for me and when are you looking to start this? Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason - thank you for responding...
Yes, permanently in England
I would prefer the course to be part time
The conversion course I would like to apply for is in 2024 https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught-degrees/psychological-sciences-msc
And theoretically the course I would start in 2026 is https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught-degrees/health-psychology-msc

Hi there,

When in 2024 would the course be? Would it be September 2024? Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason - yes, that's right.

Best,
Varvara
Hi Varvara,

According to our system both of these courses are showing as Masters, and not exceptions. So, because you already have a Masters you won't be entitled to any funding, unfortunately.

If you're thinking of doing any of these courses we'd recommend speaking to your university directly to see if they have any help and advice.

Thanks, Graeme
