anyone doing biochemistry at warwick or cardiff?

hello! i just wanted to see what people's opinions are if you're doing biochemistry at either of these unis

like for example, how is the course, do you enjoy it? what are your pros and cons, how is the uni in a general sense, how is the city / accommodations, just anything useful that may be worth mentioning really! thank you

I had an offer from warwick for biochem. I didn't get in. I was annoyed at the time but now I'm not.

1. Warwick is a campus uni
2. It's badly accessible and on the outskirts of the city so you have to pay a lot of money for socialising
3. That city is Coventry. Enough said.
4. Warwick is a top Russell group and a lot of people there are very competitive.

If these things don't matter to you then please ignore me.

thank u for the reply, do u mind me asking where u went instead?

i ended up putting warwick as my insurance since i heard the university was good, but knowing the city isn't as nice was a bit off putting honestly, initially i was stuck between cardiff and warwick so i ended up having to just decide on one and was wondering if it would've been better to make cardiff my insurance instead, it's just been on my mind all day !

Go to warwick for the 'prestige' and if you don't care about the social life too much. Cardiff is oen of the best UK students cities whilst still being a Russell group uni. Social life can be as important in these situation because itll be your sanity when it comes to unii stress,

I went to southampton because I got lucky with clearing offers and I love it. Perfect mix of great academia, facilities and teaching (we have a reasonably new life sciences building), a nice campus, and great social life, club and societies and all that jazz.
